Went down by the river
To watch it run it’s course
Some days slow and gentle
And some days full of force
And as I looked I saw reflections in my soul

I’m caught in many mysteries
With so much to explain
But I am short on answers
It’s always been the same
I can look through history or gaze the future lines
But some things aren’t for knowing
Until the end of time

So I watched the people
Go about their ways
Some were full of purpose
But some were just afraid
And if you listened hard enough and gave them time to speak
They’d tell you they were searching
But they had no time to seek
