Not only did Gareth feature as the Spotlight Artist on Aled Jones BBC Radio 2 Good Morning Sunday show at the start of the month but Bob Harris also played tracks from the album on his Saturday Night Show for two weeks running. BBC Scotland and Wales are continuing to play the album at regular intervals and some of the independent stations are picking up on the music as well. If your in the mood to help you can make requests for your favourite track by emailing the programmes from their respective websites. They just keep coming ! Gareth's new album "Water & Light" has just been given a fantastic 5 Star review in the March issue of Maverick Magazine and is also reviewed in the current edition of fROOTS Magazine. Maverick said “Some artists often sing in the name of one cause or another without conviction, but that is not the case here. The legacy of well-written, descriptive music laid down by Woody Guthrie, still lives on in the UK”. On the Live front Gareth has now reached the end of his FT Fortnight series gigs and the next gig will be as the headline act at Twickenham Folk Club on Sunday 5th April. You can get tickets from We Got Tickets. As ever you can get your copy of "Water & Light" from our Web Shop. |

More reviews ! We're over the moon with a fantastic new review of "Water & Light" by Mike Wilson at Folking.Com. Mike has captured the atmosphere of the album superbly and we recommend dropping into his site to read it and many of the other fine reviews that he's written about other artists. We're equally delighted that both BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Wales have picked up on "Water & Light". Iain Anderson and Frank Hennessy respectively have played a few tracks on their shows in recent days. We're still pushing with National radio so watch this space. Finally - Gareth is on tour in the North of Scotland and then the South and West of England over the next few weeks - he does get about ! Check for details in our Live Section. |
